Investigating the viability of green roofs using public data
The municipality of Utrecht approached me and some fellow students during our environmental sciences minor to investigate the viability of green roofs.
My fellow students and I researched this during our minor and created a tool that uses public data to calculate the potential benefits of green roofs against the cost of installing and maintaining them.
Software development
Object detection for sonar images
During the INNO project at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, we were approached by Rijkswaterstaat to develop a system that can detect objects within sonar images.
My fellow students and I developed a system to detect objects within sonar images. We used a combination of image processing and machine learning to achieve this.
